(Gold Medalist), M.Phil., M.T.M., UGC-NET, Ph.D. Experience:- 31 Years | Dr. Abhishek Aggarwal is an Associate Professor & Head of the Department of Geography & Tourism at Hindu College, Amritsar. He has done master’s degree from the Department of Geography, Kurukshetra University, and is a Gold Medallist. He has finished his M.Phil from the Centre for the Study of Regional Development, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, Masters in Tourism Management from Indira Gandhi National Open University, New Delhi, and Ph.D. from Kurukshetra University. He also has completed eight weeks of training in Remote Sensing (GIS & GPS) at the Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS), Dehradun. He has more than 29 years of teaching and research experience. He has to his credit many research papers published in leading national and international professional journals. His areas of interest are Regional Development and Tourism Geography. He won National Scholarship in 1987 and cleared UGC (NET) exam in 1991. He has presented papers at various national and international conferences. Did one research project at the Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS), Dehradun on ‘Changing Course of Rivulets in Dehradun – Mosourrie Belt – 1935 – 2005. |
